Our purpose is to preach the gospel and lead the lost and hurting to Christ for church Membership, instruct them in Worship, guide them to Christ-like Maturity, and equip them for their Ministry in the church and on the Mission field that the kingdom of God be glorified.

God called our Sr. Pastors, David and Martha Cochran, to the City of La Porte on April 9th 1985. After a few short months La Porte Worship Center was birthed. Our first sanctuary was located at 215 South Broadway. God promised Pastors David and Martha that He would stand with them and He would be faithful to fill the church with His presence and the people would come. He has been faithful to fulfill that promise throughout the past 30 years.

In 1991 God called this church to a mission field in Pará, Brazil, where we have labored for over 25 years. We have helped established 15 churches, remodeled a bible college, built dorms for a training facility and ministered the Gospel through the efforts of many missionary teams.

In 2001 God brought us over the bridge to the City of Baytown with a new vision, a new name (Fields of Harvest Church), and a new land for His House to be built on.

In 2008 we established the first Fields of Harvest Church in Brazil also known as Hope Ministries. By 2010 the ministry had outgrown its outdoor meeting place and the first city church was built. After 4 years of ministering in the river communities, in 2012 the first river church on the Guamá River, in the city of Bujaru was built. In September of 2016, Hope Ministries purchased a medical boat and began medical trips down the Guamá River. Enabling us to minister and bring medical supplies to regions that otherwise would not easily receive medical care. We are looking forward to ministering many more years on this mission field.

Our congregation is a family growing together in the Word of God through fellowship and encouragement to one another. We have established a strong foundation together over these past 30 years. We have a vision to reach this city for Christ and to serve this community through the love that has been birthed in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.
